Since we got all of our clips chopped up and combined last week, this week was focused on aesthetics. To fix the coloring of the clips, we did some color grading. This was difficult because for some reason we had to do it to each individual clip and we wanted it to remain the same for each. Also, finding the right coloring for our opening was hard since we wanted to give off a certain vibe. we opted for a sort of greyish, highlighted look to give a feeling of a memory. This conveyed emotions of saying good bye, moving on, and big changes. The grey also added to the build towards the climax, showing audiences that not everything is bright and happy as it first seems. We added our chosen background music of solfeggio frequencies, which really made the whole piece come together. We watched our work all the way through after this step and we were very excited with what we had produced so far. We then added our titles and credits. We had each of the titles fade away, especially the main one, as it could feel like the holding on to the hope of a relationship. For our "production company" name, we decided to combine all of our nicknames into "Natliveva" to give a more personal touch. Although our project is very cringey and the acting isn't the best, we made sure to spend time giving attention to details, such as camera angles and props. My favorite clip is when Nathalie is closing the door of my car for me, and you see her reflection in the window. We thought this was a really nice touch of showing the emotions of both characters at the same time. We wanted to show my character's genuine feeling, so we added extra clips of me driving away, wiping my tears, while cutting to Nathalie's instant fade of emotions as she received the mysterious phone call.
